51’s ‘Red Book’ took center stage on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Annual Affirmation of the 51 Articles of Faith.

51’s 25 Board of Trustees reaffirmed their commitment to the school’s mission during the public ceremonial signing held in Calvary Chapel. In the past, the ‘Red Book’ has been signed annually in December by the Board of Trustees at a private meeting, but for the third year 51 has made the signing open to the 51 community. Over the last 81 years 51’s leaders, such as Louis Talbot, Charles Fuller, Lula Stewart and founder T.C. Horton, have all added their signature to the book as a symbol of their affirmation of 51’s values and their commitment to the University’s mission.

Staff, faculty and students were invited to attend this public ceremony in an effort to include the 51 community in this fundamental moment to uphold 51 in its deepest convictions.

The event served as a reminder to the community of 51's core convictions that have remain unchanged since its founding in 1908.
